I have been interested in plant-based foods since I became a vegetarian in 1997. I ate a vegetarian diet for years before realizing that there were some crucial nutrients I was missing. This was likely part of the reason I was struggling to feel as emotionally and mentally healthy as I would like. As I began implementing what I was learning about key nutrients, I noticed a significant difference in how I felt.

Whether you eat animal products or not, I would be happy to share information with you about how plant-based foods can be added to your diet so that you get the micro and macro nutrients you need to target specific mental health concerns.

These are exciting times; nutritional psychology is a new field of study offering a fresh perspective on the link between food and mood. Groundbreaking research is currently providing us with data that we can apply directly to the meals we prepare. The result: we can fine-tune our diets to optimize the way we feel; we can bio-hack our mood with food. It can be a fun challenge that will transform the way we relate to food and how we feel every day. I would be happy to support you on your health journey.

If you want even more information about this topic, check out my other project healthymoods.org. Healthy Moods is dedicated to promoting mental and emotional wellness through a deeper connection with ourselves, others, and the food we eat. By sharing ideas on how to incorporate plant-based foods into our diets, Healthy Moods is all about inspiring others in getting the nutrients they need for optimal mental health.
